撻Q (俗語) :  ”或作撻cue,原本是桌球用語,原指控制桌球棒(俗稱cue棍)失誤,撃不中白球的重點,令到白球移動路線出現偏差,後果輕則損失機會,重則失分,輸掉比賽。

其後香港的足球評述員將『撻Q』一詞引入足球比賽之上,指球員踼球時踢不中皮球重點,把球踼歪了。而「臨門撻Q」即指球員在龍門前射門時把球踢歪了,錯失進球的機會。而『撻Q』亦由最初指球員踼不中球重點,演變至廣泛應用在球員錯失入球黃金機會,統統都會被形容為『撻Q』。

最後,「撻Q」被借用在日常生活中,意指一些事情,在水到渠成之際,因失誤而變得功敗垂成。「撻Q」有幸災樂禍的意味,是少數應用在日常生活的桌球術語。”
